Welcome November!

Thanksgiving is just 21 days away ... have you started your Christmas shopping yet??? It will be here in a blink of an eye and I plan to be ahead of the game this year! I will be celebrating Thanksgiving a week early this year since my entire family will be together for the first time in 10 years. I am so excited!! So, today the Jack O'Lantern's went into to the storage bins and my small gaggle of turkeys came out.
This little gobbler found his way to my dining room table ...

I seem to have several turkey candles as well. This Bees wax fella came home with me one year on a visit up north. They were made by the same gentleman that was making apple cider and selling them at a road side stand just outside of Eureka, Ca. Every time I see my turkey I think of how yummy that apple cider was!

Here is another candle - this one is Trish, her brother Tom is just around the corner. These two are reproductions of a pair my mom had sitting on our Thanksgiving table year after year. When I saw them last year in a little boutique they were calling out my name.

A week or so ago I was reading my blog buddies and was so excited to see Audrey, at Bay Rays Child was selling some of her dolls at awesome prices. I was thrilled today when the box arrived and my treasures were here. I purchased a darling doll ....
The attention to detail and the quality of her work is amazing. Her hair is just the cutest little side curls. LOVE her!

A different angle, she's in the cradle my friend Rita found for me at the Goodwill, not sure she is staying here. I tucked my little birthday Betsy puppy in there with her.

My other purchase was this Santa cupboard tuck. Like the doll this Santa is amazing. Love his nose and mustache. Now I am excited to get my Christmas decorations out! Thank you Audrey for sharing your beautiful work!!
