Spring ....

When you look up the definition of Spring in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary numerous definitions come up. Oddly, my definition of what I think Spring time is doesn't appear ... at least not in one definition!
For me Spring Time is March, April and May (of course) it's a time when new life springs up from the ground in the form of flowers, trees, shrubs and of course WEEDS! Spring time also issues new life like lizards running wild in my flower beds, funny looking bugs, baby chicks and ducks ... speaking of ducks ...
While sitting on the patio yesterday absorbing some vitamin D this beautiful young man landed in my pool ... A gift of Spring to be sure.
A very dear friend of mine is in a flurry, she has a new labra doodle puppy as well as an old seasoned golden retriever. AND some Spring time guests ... a litter of baby skunks! Yes, 5 baby skunks and the local animal control will not assist her in removing them. They have officially initiated  the aged retriever with an aromatic spray.
In Spring time the sky is brighter and bluer. The days grow longer and the air is crisp and the outside temperature is perfect.

Websters definition of Spring ....

:  a time or season of growth or development; specifically :  the season between winter and summer comprising in the northern hemisphere usually the months of March, April, and May or as reckoned astronomically extending from the March equinox to the June solstice

Do you find this definition lacking??
Today as I sat outside absorbing the beauty of the day and the mild temperatures I took out my camera to share some sites of Spring around the Taylor compound ....
A basket of buds ....
A pre-hstoric ant with her flag and giant flowers ...
The Lillie's of the Nile are beginning to bloom while the Rooters watch!

Front door box .... Guests are always welcome
