It's Decoration Day!! Woot Hoot!

Decorating the house for the Christmas Season is a MAJOR production. The big storage bins emerge from the storage unit and assemble on the back patio and enter the house one by one. Some how throughout the day their contents end up all over the house, floor, counter tops, table tops, inside and out. Slowly things begin to form into a winter wonderland of primitive friends. For the first time in years a very dear and long time friend came in for a visit and helped with the chaos. It took a bit longer but it was a lot of fun!

Here is a sample of why it took so long ... Cyndie found the need to "decorate" herself instead of the rooms. Besides the lovely red flower clipped in her hair she adorned herself with winterberries and a few on Miss Betsy as well!

In the next few days I will post some of my Christmas magical rooms and vignettes. Here is a small wall cabinet that houses my pewter and Vallencourt Starlight Santa Collection. The middle pitcher was a recent thrift store find ... $5.00 - almost unheard of in California! It was my lucky day.

The hoosier  was an easy makeover, a prim Santa and a few holiday greens did the job.

Cyndie's getting ready to go and wanted a final pic with the Santa's in the living room. I'll say good bye for now as well and will return with more photo's soon!
