Mother's Day Luncheon 2012

What a fabulous day this was. The weather was absolutely perfect, food delicious and our customers had a wonderful time. After two full days of preparing the backyard for 30 guests and setting up the Longaberger Farmers Market, cooking food and numerous (yes numerous) trips to the grocery store our First Annual Mother's Day luncheon was a success.
We purchased Longaberger small low bowls and my kitchen staff (Amy and Debbie) baked 32 bowls of Longaberger Beer Bread which were later filled with Amy's yummy White Chicken Chili.
Don't they look so pretty, and did they ever smell good!
There were quilts, (sold them all!!)

Retired Longaberger baskets, totes, pottery and wrought iron.

A collection of "Vintage" baskets from the 80's and Wyoming pine cones!

Home made bread and Amy's famous Pepper Butter ...

 Fresh picked lemons and grapefruits.

All the tables are dressed! We used the Longaberger Hurricanes filled with our flowers for the center pieces with a base table cloth using the Charmed Longaberger fabric and pink chargers. They all looked so festive and Spring like!
Our guests are seated and ready to hear Debbie, our guest speaker.

Debbie spoke on the book One Thousand Gifts. She so moved one of our youngest guests that she bought a book and two of Debbie's journals so she can begin journaling her own gifts. Debbie is a wonderful speaker and always seems to have the words to touch our hearts in just the right places.
And a Longaberger event would not be complete without a small demonstration of our newest May products!
We ended the day with a meal from In and Out Hamburgers, A So. California favorite. That handsome young man is Shawn, Tiffany's beau. He showed up just in time to assist with the take down of tables, chairs, canopies etc. What a God send he was to a group of very tired, sore women!
If you attended our event thank you so much for coming and I hope you had a wonderful day. Amy, Debbie and myself enjoyed having you and look forward to next year!
